New estate roads, junctions and connections built under Section 278, Section 38 or Section 104 agreements have to satisfy the local highway authority’s technical approval process before, during and after construction. Lawday’s highway teams work directly with authority engineers from design coordination through to final adoption, so schemes progress without unnecessary delay.
Our scope covers kerbing, sub-base, surfacing and road markings, together with traffic management and street lighting coordination – giving developers and local authorities a single, accountable contractor for the full adoptable highway package.

Every groundworks package starts with a clear sequence: clearance and enabling, then foundations and substructure, then sub-base and hardstanding, with utilities coordinated throughout. Our in-house teams carry that sequence from first strip to final compaction test, so there’s one point of accountability rather than a chain of subcontractors.
