Modern planning conditions increasingly require sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) that manage surface water at source rather than simply piping it away. Lawday installs foul and surface water drainage, attenuation tanks, soakaways and permeable surfacing, working alongside consulting engineers to coordinate SuDS design with the wider site strategy.
Every installation is backed by CCTV survey and connection testing, giving clients confidence that below-ground drainage will perform for the life of the asset – from retail and education sites through to heritage-sensitive locations where surface water has to be managed without disturbing the setting.

Every groundworks package starts with a clear sequence: clearance and enabling, then foundations and substructure, then sub-base and hardstanding, with utilities coordinated throughout. Our in-house teams carry that sequence from first strip to final compaction test, so there’s one point of accountability rather than a chain of subcontractors.
