Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust required a critical electrical infrastructure upgrade at Queen Mary’s Hospital – the installation of a new 4-core LV power cable to future-proof the site’s power supply – carried out with zero disruption to hospital operations.

The works involved verge ducting with service pits, cable tray installation through sensitive woodland areas, precision moling beneath existing structures, and final termination into the hospital’s substation, including carefully managed shutdown and switch-over terminations. Every stage was planned around the operational and environmental sensitivities of a live hospital site.
