Lawday was appointed by local developer Vistry Group to deliver a major Section 278 highway improvement scheme at Tenterden, Kent, covering extensive carriageway construction, drainage, kerbing and surfacing, together with coordination of utility works and final highway tie-ins for the development.

Working closely with Kent County Council and the wider project team, works were carefully phased to maintain access for local residents while managing road closures, utility interfaces and traffic management, taking the highway works from excavation and drainage through to final surfacing.

A challenging, developer-led programme delivered through to completion, with close coordination between Lawday, KCC and Vistry minimising disruption to the surrounding community.
