Lawday was appointed by a residential developer to deliver a major Section 278 highway scheme on Manston Road, including new roundabout infrastructure and associated highway, drainage, kerbing and surfacing works.

With works taking place on a live highway alongside an occupied residential area, careful phasing was essential – coordinating approvals, traffic management and individual construction phases with KCC, while maintaining vehicle and pedestrian movements and communicating proactively with local residents throughout.

Works delivered successfully while maintaining live traffic and property access throughout, demonstrating Lawday’s ability to combine highway construction with local authority coordination and resident engagement.
