Welbeck Health awarded Lawday the groundworks package for Phase One of its extension to the existing building at Unity Campus, Pampisford – a technically involved civil and structural scope delivered within a live, operational site environment.

Our scope covered piling preparation and enabling works, drainage and utilities diversions, reinforced concrete substructure works, and hard and soft landscape alterations, alongside structural strengthening to the existing building. The works were coordinated closely with the wider project team to keep the programme moving within the constraints of a busy, active campus.

Practical Completion was achieved on a varied and challenging package, laying the groundwork for the next phase of development at the campus and reinforcing Lawday’s capability in complex, structurally-led healthcare projects.
